Now hiring in Pawtucket, RI Collette is seeking a Technical Delivery Manager to join our growing IT TeamThis is a hybrid position based out of our headquarters in Pawtucket, RIThere has never been a better time to be in the travel industryAs the longest-running tour operator in North America, our family-owned business leads the industry in innovation and expertiseCollette's passionate team works hard to fulfill travel dreams and is always looking for talent that will help to shape the company's futureFrom giving back to local communities to creating incredible experiences for a world of travelers and being part of a value-oriented team that cares for one another - Collette is all about the peopleA Technical Delivery Manager combines technical expertise with project management skills to oversee the delivery of technical solutions or projectsThey are responsible for managing the technical aspects of a project from start to finish, ensuring that the deliverables meet the required specifications, deadlines, and quality standardsWork closely with the Product Team (Product Managers, Product Owners), Business Analysts, Development and QA resources to define project goals, scope, timelines, and resource requirementsCreate detailed project plans and establish communication channels to ensure effective coordination among team membersCreate, maintain, and update accurate delivery plans and roadmaps with each team, reflecting the business prioritization from ProductProvide guidance and support to development teams or engineers throughout the project lifecycleOffer insights into technology choices, architecture decisions, and best practices to ensure efficient implementation of solutionsResponsible for allocating resources effectively to achieve project objectivesThis includes assigning tasks to team members based on their skills and availability and managing dependencies between different work streamsIdentify potential risks or challenges that may arise during the project execution phaseThey develop risk mitigation strategies or contingency plans to minimize disruptions to the project timeline or qualityProvide ongoing operational support, maintenance, technical documentation, consultation and end-user support for home grown and vendor applicationsDefine quality standards for deliverables and establish processes for testing, reviewing code or designs, conducting peer code reviews, etc., to maintain quality throughout the development processEnsure all project-related documentation, such as technical specifications, user manuals, or test plans, are created and maintained accuratelyGenerate regular reports on project status, milestones achieved, risks identified, etc., Stay current with developments in information technology concepts, tools, techniques, and applicationsAlso requires staying current with policies, business practices and security guidelines and policiesHelp organize code reviews and prepare for weekly software releases and assist with coordination of system upgradesdata migrations, builds and deployments, new environment setup, etc.) Bachelor's Degree requiredStrong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyPrior experience as a Release Train Engineer or SCRUM Master for multiple teams and disciplines, or very similar experience Experience with Agile software delivery methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban Should have good technical understanding of applications and development processes in generalExperience using workflow software to streamline defects and project developmentShould have excellent Atlassian skills (Jira, but also Confluence and Bitbucket) when it comes to planning, roadmaps, resource management and release planningFamiliarity of Object-oriented programming (OOP) and development skills using C#, VB.NET, WinForms, Entity Framework/LINQ, WPF, MVVM, ASP.NET WebForms, ASP.NET MVC, Xamarin Familiarity with front end technologies, including HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery, CSS Familiarity utilizing and designing web services, including JSON, SOAP, XML, Windows Communication Foundation, WebAPI technologiesUnderstanding of source control discipline (knowledge of Bitbucket/Git/Team Foundation a plus) Recommended Skills Project Management Metrics Request For Proposal Program Management Change Management Business Process Apply to this job.
