this is the newest upgrade to the 147 preamp, designed to be easy to repair should the need arise,unlike the old leslie preamps where i had to bring an extra preamp on all gigs, this can be repaired in the the time of a break by replacing one IC mounted in a socket, i used to repair for 7 music stores at one time, the old preamps used 6 transistors that were hard to locate and replace plus other parts that were out of date, this unit also containes a special filter that monitors the tuning on your instrument and keeps it close to 50% Hermode during normal operation.
